We found Rich via the recommendation of friends on the Northshore who had a beautiful home renovated to perfection with his help. While his bid was not the lowest, it was certainly not the highest, and we chose him to do our work based on the ideas he had for the space and the resounding review he had from our friends (and their family who had also used him). He was professional and honest and importantly, he completed our work on budget. Our timeline was TIGHT to get us in our home, and he made it happen. Additionally, he provided great coaching on how to get our side of the decision tree in line ahead of our project start date (order parts/fixtures/products for installation), so he could stay on time and we would know what to expect. We had several additions/subtractions/modifications to the original work plan - both due to our minds changing and due to complications from our 50+ year old home, but he made sure things were done well and on time. His team- including several outstanding subcontractors with similar work ethic- renovated 2 bathrooms, did demolition to an outdoor structure that we needed removed, refinished hardwood flooring/staircase, added hardwood in areas, did electrical work, painted almost every indoor surface of our home and installed several new lighting fixtures and hardware.  A few minor things popped up after the job was completed, and he made special trips to our home just to make sure things were to our satisfaction. My husband and I are both busy professionals and don't have time to deal with hiccups or poor craftsmanship. We plan to use him again in the future for other projects around our home.

We had a very large home renovation. This was our first home and therefore first time renovation.  We renovated the kitchen, bathroom, removed walls, moved doors, added windows and lots of other smaller items. He provided a detailed description of the work, cost, and timeline. We were in constant contact with Rich throughout the renovation.  He always kept us informed on issues, cost changes, and timing. We put his team on a tight timeline, and were very pleased that we moved in as expected.  Rich was very good at explaining everything and one of the things I appreciated most about him was that he thought everything through big or small and made sure we did as well.  We sent him a lot of pictures of what we were looking for from houzz and he does an amazing job recreating what we liked. He did an amazing job on our mantel. He took the pictures I sent him and built the mantel for us at a fraction of the cost.  Did the same with our mudroom cubbies and built in kitchen area. Not many times during a home renovation do you say that was cheaper than I thought.  Rich has stood by his work and I have no doubt if something were to come up, he'd be out to resolve it.  He as always been super responsive, which I find to be one of the most important qualities. I have recommended rich to several of my friends and will always continue to refer him.   We felt very lucky to have found Rich, he made our home beautiful.

I hired A&R Home Services, initially, to repair doors that were damaged by another painting company.  The estimate was much better than other companies.  The replacement of all of my doors went without issue.  All work was done perfectly and with enjoyable company by the installers.  

I then hired A&R to remodel a shower to a custom granite shower.  Once again, done perfectly.   Since then, A&R has replaced windows, remodeled my family room, painted rooms, did electrical work of adding light fixtures throughout the house.   A&R custom built bookcases to my design, and they are the focal point of my family room, and the compliment of anyone that visits.   Their work is excellent; the carpenters/electricians/plumbers are always wonderful people, who are personable and enjoyable and craftsmen.   I cannot say enough about what a great company A&R is.   My neighbors have hired them also and have always been pleased.
